Sunday we celebrated Brendan's 8th Birthday at the Columbia Basin Racquet Club. They offer great birthday party options. You have the choice of two activities and Brendan chose dodge ball and swimming. He invited lots' of friends and most were able to come. The party started with dodge ball. They played for 20 minutes or so in one of the racquetball courts. The adults could watch from above; so as you can see I was able to take a picture or two. The boys' had fun throwing the balls at one another. Little Sydney Gamache joined ( Parker's younger sister). She did great and laughed every time the ball hit one of the boys'... They were very nice to Sydney.

Afterwards we sang Happy Birthday to Brendan; enjoyed cake and ice cream. Then Brendan opened his presents'. He received so many fun things; indoor and outdoor toys'. I bought him a tether ball and in the process of pouring cement in a tire to hold the pole so we can take with us wherever we may go. He also got Star Wars toys (which he loves), transformer and Lego's. He has been playing with everything since the minute we got home.

The final hour the boys and adults if they wanted were able to swim in the outdoor pool. It was a hot day; so perfect for swimming. The kids' loved it. They played basketball; swam to the deep end if they could and some jumped off the diving board too. The club had kick boards the kids' could use to swim with too. The excitement was never ending and when "Drew" our host for the day said it was time to get out all of the kids wanted to stay in of course. Well we expected that.... Part of the cost of the package goes towards goody bags so each person received a goody bag filled and also a free pass for the entire family to enjoy. So they can come back to the club again. It was a great afternoon and thank-you to everyone for celebrating Brendan's Birthday with us; Brendan had the best time. He wants to thank everyone for the presents too.... Friday June 19th my "Little Big Man" will be 8.
