Fun in the sun!

Today was the hottest day so far reaching 96 (I believe).
Brendan's first grade class had a field trip planned to walk
to the Prosser Public Library; his teacher Ms. Long asked
if I would help out and walk with the class as an extra set
of eyes too. I did and another parent went with Mrs. Klingles
class. We set out after lunch. The kids were very good walking
to the library several blocks from the school. Even though it
was hot the kids were troopers and Ms.Long brought a spray
bottle along to keep them cool ( as you will see below). They
all laughed when we stopped in the shade and she would run
down the side walk squirting them with water :) They got a
tour of the library; told about the summer events etc etc.
I've really enjoyed helping out in Brendan's classroom this year.
These memories will last a lifetime...



After School we got the slip and slide out. Brendan

asked his neighbor friend Andrea to come over. They

were having fun as you can see and kept cool for quite awhile.

The ways we keep cool can be so entertaining.

Summer is here at last!!!
